Pertex Technologies

Technologies:

Capillary action technology

This is a complicated term to explain why Pertex favrics keep you comfortable when the going gets tough. Moisture moves through the capillaries, between the fibers and spreads over a large surface where it evaporates quickly. The magic word today is comfort. Comfort related to the outdoors and sports apparel markets means dry. Dry means dry on the inside and not getting wet from the outside.

Pertex fabric technology is based on a natural phenomenon called "Capillary action technology."

Capillary action is the ability for water to be drawn up into narrow spaces. We use the optimum fiber size for this to happen, and so create the thousands of capillaries within the fabric. Moisture moves along the capillaries between the fibers and spreads over a large surface area where it evaporates. (Source: http://www.pertex.com/)

Fabric advantage:

It is a good choose for kids to keep warm in sleeping bag, this new technology has a lot of benefit to compete with other technology, such as it could feel better and softness on the skin, restricts you less in your movement, less noisy, and packs smaller inside your pack. Also, it is a waterproof fabric which could use for kids or adults apparel.

The "North Face" also incorporates with :Pertex" as their material to make for rebuts sleeping bag, which could keep climbers warm in the snowing place or frezzing mountain. As this reason, I also think it could use for infant because this fiber will give them more restrict when they are turning the body. It has more comfortable feeling to make them sleep well.

Here is the products made by Pertex:
